Terms And Conditions

Terms

The tariffs per week (Saturday to Saturday or as agreed) for the cottage equipped as described.

The usual time of take-over is between 4pm and 6pm (subject to unavoidable delays or by prior arrangement).

The cottage must be vacated no later than 10.00 am on the day of departure and left in a clean and tidy condition.

You are responsible for any damage done or loss sustained during your stay. The owners must be notified of any loss or damage.

Number of Guests

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the number of people stipulated in the booking form (or agreed at the time of booking) is not exceeded without prior approval from Dungarvan Self Catering.

Payment

An initial payment of 33% of the tariff must be paid to confirm a reservation.

The balance should be paid 6 weeks before arrival or, if booking within 6 weeks, of your holiday start date, payment should be made in full when making the booking.

In the event of non-payment on the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the holiday and the initial payment is forfeited. Reminders are not sent.

We reserve the right to pass on to the customer any bank charges incurred in the transaction whether it be for the conversion of foreign currency or any costs arising from re-presenting of cheques.

Cancellation

Should you cancel your holiday after booking has been accepted by Dungarvan Self Catering, you will remain liable for the full cost of your holiday. The customer may be liable for the total hire charge unless 60 days written notice (email is acceptable) is sent to us and acknowledged as received by DSC. We agree that, in the event of cancellation, while every effort will be made by us to re-let, if a substitute cannot be found the customer will be responsible for the period of the tenancy booked.

We may treat the booking as cancelled if the balance of the payment is not sent by the date agreed in the booking form, and every effort will be made to re-let the vacancy.

Our decision on all claims is final.

We reserve the right not to hand over accommodation to any person/s who in our opinion is:-

  • Not suitable to take charge - in such cases, all hire moneys shall be refunded in full and the Contract discharged or,
  • Not suitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or annoyance to other guests - in which case a proportionate refund of the period remaining will be made, and the Contract discharged, etc. recompense being made.
We also reserve the right to enter any accommodation under special conditions or emergencies.

Loss or Injury

The customer undertakes to relieve DSC from any liability for damage or injury however caused by any member of the hirer’s party. We, our agents or employees, accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any member of the Hirer’s party or their property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner out of the let of the premises.

We will not be responsible for death or personal injury, save insofar as it results from our proven negligence.

Pets

In the interest of other guests, and maintaining the hygiene of the properties and grounds, we do not allow pets to stay in the houses.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the houses.

No Stag or Hen parties

Changes in Terms and Conditions

The owners reserve the right to change any information on the website without prior notice.

Damage Deposit

A damage deposit of 150 euros per house will be required in cash on arrival. A receipt will be give to you. This is returned minus the cost of any loss/damage during your stay.

In the unlikely event of use not being able to let either of our premises on the agreed date due to circumstances beyond our control, our liability is limited to returning any monies paid by you to us.
